Volunteering at the NCDC is a rewarding experience that allows you to:

Whether you’re helping at fundraising events, providing behind-the-scenes support, or exploring a future career in early intervention, school-aged therapy, or early childhood education—volunteering with us offers valuable opportunities to learn, grow, and give back.

- Special Events Volunteers:
To help with our events. We are looking for assistance with our special events, such as our annual Silly Boat Regatta in July. Please call if you are interested in helping - Childminding:
To help with taking care of children while parents are attending peer to peer groups and parent education sessions. Lots of different days, evenings and hours to pick from - Playgroup:
To help with running our drop in parent/guardian participation playgroup which happens every Tuesday and Thursday morning
- Therapy:
Cleaning toys and equipment, preparing therapy materials - Administration:
Greeting and assisting families, answering phones, general office work (photocopying) - Other Areas:
The volunteer activities listed above are just a few of the many different areas in which you can support the Centre with your valuable time. Do you have skills in other areas such as IT, HR, policy development, etc.? We welcome volunteers with many differing types of expertise. Please note: due to the sensitive nature of the work we undertake, volunteers in some areas of our operations are required to undertake a criminal records check and/or provide references.
